Hot Well Dunes Recreation Area 

"The sands at the Hot Well Dunes Recreation Area were a beach surrounding a lake approximately two million years ago." 

We ride the dunes on our fat tire bikes. Alex gets another flat tire.

Every day this agave blossom seems to have grown another foot taller.

  

I ride, Alex drives - his bike tire is flat again. It is a beautiful 3 mile ride downhill as we leave Olla Wash.

A real campground...with neighbors - and a full moon too.

The next day, the day of the family BBQ, it's raining and chilly. 

Our hearts are warm.
